Kids these days.
They think iPads are toys and alcohol is gross (suckers).
Starting tonight big kids can play at Emporium Arcade Bar in Wicker Park.
If fun in the form of 35 retro arcade games doesn’t excite you, stop reading. Walls are lined with old-school favorites: Tetris, Michael Jordan Space Jam pinball, Duck Hunt, Arkanoid, Donkey Kong.
Buy tokens (one dollar gets you four plays — inflation doesn’t exist here), grab a beer (twenty-plus craft brews on tap — bottles don’t exist either) or whiskey (from highbrow to low), and play your way around the perimeter. You’ll be surprised by your muscle memory (you still rule at Mortal Kombat).
Emporium is BYOF (that’s food), so you can have Antique Taco or Piece pizza with your Ms. Pac-Man.
But, please, share — that’s what grown-ups do.
