Cubicle. Car. Couch. Repeat. Less than a month left, and you’re still waiting for your summer to heat up.
Cool it down instead with one of the season’s classic treats (served with an exotic twist).
Lauda Flores’s family once owned a premiere L.A. paleteria (Mexican ice cream parlor). Now she’s proving her own flair for the frozen stuff with Sno Con Amor artisanal raspados.
Mexico’s take on the snow cone, a raspado consists of scraped ice and traditional flavors like tamarind, walnut, and the Jonathan Gold-approved alfalfa pineapple.
Using syrups with fresh fruits and herbs, Flores also throws innovative varieties, including watermelon basil and baked strawberry rhubarb, into the mix.
Catch her every Sunday through October at the Hollywood Farmers Market or tap her for a private event.
She’ll give you license to chill.
