Close Encounters of the Food Kind
Local Restaurant Opens

You get around (get around round round, you get around, yeah).
But that doesn’t mean your food should.
It doesn’t at Local, the new casual restaurant that sticks to locally sourced, sustainable, seasonal, and (whenever possible) organic ingredients.
Chef Jason Michaud is starting with breakfast and lunch. Snag the outdoor tables for fresh juices and omelets or buckwheat crepes with fillings of the day or help yourself to soups, chili, or the by-the-pound salad bar to go.
When supper launches soon, expect menu items like veggie Reubens, slow-roasted pork sandwiches, crispy mac and cheese, and original burgers like turkey with bell peppers.
Don’t get too used to anything: The menu will change according to the farmers market and the chef’s mood.
Get outta town.
