Used to be that you would dress up to get coffee, just in case the “hot” barista was in that day.
Now the cute boys come to you — on two wheels, no less. Introducing Bicycle Coffee Co., founded by brothers Brandon, Cameron, and Matthew McKee, their cousin Brad Butler, and close buddy Mikael Kirkman.
The team roasts small batches of fair trade, organic, shade-grown arabica beans in Oakland, then delivers within a day or two of roasting to local offices, restaurants, and groceries via bike (sometimes outfitted with a cart that they set up as a sampling station). They’ve always got three options: dark (Ethiopian), medium (Nicaraguan), and decaf (water-processed Peruvian).
Thinking of ordering for your office? Schedule a tasting — or they’ll even let you try a bag on the house.
It’s like you guys already have a “thing.”
