Artisan popsicles? So last summer.
Just in time for Memorial Day weekend, Hercules-based Gelateria Naia has rolled out Bar Gelato, its line of small-batch frozen gelato and sorbetto on a stick.
The grab-and-go desserts are made with rBST-free Cali milk and local ingredients. We’ve taken the liberty of selecting several of the nine flavors to pair with your cookout menu.
Classic Madagascar Vanilla: Flecked with vanilla beans sourced from the Bourbon Isles, it complements an all-American feast of burgers and dogs.
St. George Spirits Single Malt Whiskey: Made with the distillery’s 10-year-old spirit, this liquor pop is the ideal upscale complement to your homemade sausage with artisan whole-grain mustard.
Ruby Red Grapefruit: The perfect sorbetto cooldown after Aunt Marge’s three-chile salsa — proceed to the make-your-own taco bar.
Tcho Chocolate: The rich, raw Ghana cacao liquor balances out the sweet barbecue sauce slathered on your chicken.
Blue Bottle Coffee: Frankly, this one exists to sober up your guests downing just potato chips and booze.
Please (don’t) eat responsibly.
