the insider's guide to your city
DailyCandy is a handpicked selection of all that's fun, fashionable, food related, and culturally stimulating in the city you’re fixated on (and all over the Web).
We bring you candy, daily.
And today we have a major scoop — in twelve luscious flavors.
All can be delightfully spooned at Humphry Slocombe, the Mission’s new artisan ice cream parlor. The retro shop serves inventive house-made combos plus chocolate chip cookies and brownies.
Take a seat on a 1927 Woolworth’s bar stool and order peanut butter curry, Guinness gingerbread, and cream cheese chip (our fave, for the moment).
Next week, they’ll add three insane sundaes: Tin Roof (vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, frosted peanuts), The Hot Mess (sub peanuts for marshmallow fluff and butterscotch), and Gabba Gabba Hey (balsamic caramel ice cream with brownies and cherries).
Better known as the triple threat.
Humphry Slocombe, 2790 Harrison Street, at 24th Street (415-550-6971 or humphryslocombe.com).
