Word on the grill is James Stolich has something to toque about.
As will you when you round up your froodies* and book him for a Cook with James underground supper club. The Quince alum heats things up by cooking multicourse dinners for groups in his home or yours.
Gather a group of four or more and Stolich’ll woo you with regional Italian fare. Made with seasonal ingredients (of course), dishes include burrata with persimmons, potato gnocchi (a signature specialty), braised duck legs, and saffron panna cotta.
Cost for private affairs keeps things in the special occasion range ($75-$120 a head), but he also just launched weekly cooking classes (wine included) at his Cole Valley pad. You can participate or just sit back and savor the results.
Perfect when you want a little less toque and a lot more action.
