Summer doesn’t officially kick off until June 21, but Memorial Day has us dreaming of sandy beaches, flip-flops, and our fave summer treat: ice cream.
Just in time, there’s a new place to satisfy our sweet tooth: Mr. and Mrs. Miscellaneous, an artisanal ice cream shop now open in the Dogpatch.
Pastry chefs Annabelle Topacio and Ian Flores make everything — including extracts — in-house, creating eleven flavors like Chocolate Malted Crunch (with Vahlrona chocolate crispy pearls), the Ballpark (an Anchor Steam base studded with chocolate-covered pretzels and salted red-skinned peanuts), and creamy pineapple-coconut sorbet.
Indulge childhood fantasies with root beer, orange, and black cherry floats. Mix in a fancy scoop. They’re anything but vanilla.
