Unlike most of the hoity-toity spots along the waterfront, Hi Dive is a straight-up bar for guys’ guys and the girls who love them. Cheap brews (especially at happy hour), passable bar food, sweet views, and a rowdy crowd always make for a good time.

This bustling Vietnamese restaurant located in the Ferry Building serves some of the best food in San Francisco. Reservations are tough, but you can always hover at the bar where it’s first come, first served. Only a crazy person would miss the Shaking Beef.

Take in views of the bay as you feast on seasonal live shellfish at this eatery. The wine list has upward of 350 bottles, and the bar’s got the requisite handcrafted cocktails, too. Take a peek at the nineteen-foot aquarium columns and a glass-blown “caviar” chandelier.
